Rules for 2010

JUDGES DECISION WILL BE FINAL ON ANY POINT OF CONTROVERSY.

ANY DISAGREEMENT WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION.

ALL TRACTORS WILL REQUIRE HELMET & FIRE EXTINGUISHER.

Fire suits must be worn on all tractors running on alcohol.

Any tractor running over 4000 RPM , driver must wear fire jacket and long pants.

Consumption of alcoholic beverages or drug use will be grounds for disqualification.

Pulls are open to lawn and garden tractors, rear wheel drive with rubber tires. All power must be transmitted through rear wheels. No duals or chains.

All tractors must be equipped with working brakes, fenders, hood and grill. All drive components must have protective shielding.

No portion of the tractor can interfere with the sled hook up. No portion of the tractor including weights may exceed 8 feet forward of the center of the rear axle (7 feet for stock altered & 6 feet for stock), 6 feet width or 12 inches outside the tire sidewalls.

All tractors MUST have wheelie bars to prevent turnovers. Pair of these devices is to have min 5" dia wheels 1" wide or skid plates a minimum of 1" x 4" each. Devices must be no less than 5" behind rear wheels and not more than 5" above the ground, allowing the front axle to rise no more than 24" from its normal position, and be strong enough to support the weight of the tractor.

Drawbar will be stationary in all directions and min hole of 1 1/2".

All classes are to be weighed with tractor and driver. All weights must be safely secured and cannot extend behind the rear wheels (weights may extend 2" with 23" tires), above the steering wheel, or movable during pull. Any weight or part falling off during pull will result in disqualification.

Drivers are responsible for weighing there Tractors before the class begins.

Engine speed must be controlled by lever or pedal and no bypass device is allowed. Throttles must return to idle position when released on all ungoverned engines. No nitrous oxide or pressurized fuel tanks in any class. No turbos, superchargers, or blowers allowed in any class.

The driver must remain seated during the pull and have at least one hand on the steering wheel at all times. All tractors must have a safely secured seat.

No shifting of gears is permitted. Driver may stop within the first 50ft and come back and change gears one time.

A kill switch that will stop engine in case of chain breakage is to be located within 6" of the center at rear of tractor with a 1" ring to connect to sled. This is mandatory in all classes.

Tractors will be disqualified if any part of the tractor touches the boundary line during the pull. Front wheels can go over line and back in as long as they don't touch down on or outside of line.

If the test puller goes out of bounds, the pull cannot be retaken until last position in class.

Two attempts will be allowed to start the sled except in pull-offs. Only one attempt in a pull-off. The first puller can drop 2 places, which means they will start in the 3rd position or they can come back last. If a puller has a mechanical problem they may drop to the end of the class plus 5 min.

All tractors must be operated in a safe manner on and off the track. Registered drivers are to be the only persons operating a tractor. Anyone "HOT RODDING" will be asked to leave premises. No mower decks to be left on the tractor. No riders allowed on tractors at any time.

All drivers must sign a waiver. Any driver under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign for them.

**ALL DRIVERS UNDER AGE 14 MUST BE SUPERVISED WHILE OPERATING TRACTOR**

KIDS MUST BE ABLE TO CONTROL TRACTOR TO THE SATISFACTION OF THE SLED OPERATOR.

THIS INCLUDES OPERATION OF THE CLUTCH & BRAKE WITHOUT OUTSIDE HELP.

Only 1 driver may register for each tractor in each class. Each tractor may pull in no more than 4 rounds.

If less than 3 tractors are registered in any class, the class will be combined with another class.

Tractors meeting safety requirements for which there is no class may be allowed to run exhibition at intermission.

The top three tractors will be checked after each class for weight, hitch height, and RPM's (in RPM limited classes). These checks are drivers' responsibility before class begins. Top drivers must wait at end of track until bumped down or class is over.

A driver in any class may protest a tractor in the same class for a fee of $100.00 per item. Limit of

3 items. RPM, weight, hitch height, and fuel are free. It will be the owner's responsibility to prove tractor legal to a designated official. If tractor does not meet the specs, the tractor will be disqualified, forfeiting winnings for that class, and protest fee is returned to protestor. If tractor is legal the protested driver keeps the protest fee. If driver refuses to tear down to prove legal the tractor is disqualified for season until proven legal. All teardowns will be conducted at the end of the pull. Any work done to the tractor after a protest is filled must be done with a tech official present.
